⬤ 01. Challenges

The water-damaged plywood was buckled as its layers spilt and splintered.

We evaluated the structural damage and where the water leak was coming from. The silicone caulk seams were loose and left a gap between the sink and the kitchen cabinet causing water to seep through. We found that the kitchen cupboards were badly soaked, swelled, distorted and crumbled.

The water-damaged plywood was buckled as its layers spilt and splintered. Over time, the water destroyed the outer shell of their kitchen cabinet, damaging the finishing and it darkened the wood.

⬤ 01. Solutions

We assisted the client by replacing their kitchen cabinets and applying a smooth, water-resistant material to the exterior cabinet walls and doors.

Once we figured out the structural damages and the cause of the damage. We assisted the client by replacing their kitchen cabinets and applying a smooth, water-resistant material to the exterior cabinet walls and doors. We then applied silicone caulk seams around the edges to keep the water from seeping through the sink edges and countertops.

We assisted the client with painting the apartment bearing in mind that we need to stick to the previous paint colour choices as per the Body Corp requirements.
